7:17 pm - The Clone Wars

Okay! I think we can pull the cloth away from part of the big secret. My big idea for this game is to play at least two of the PCs as Master and Padawan. avilina and great_cthulhu have volunteered for the experiment, and we've come up with rules for balancing a less experienced character that I think will work out.

If anyone else would like to do the same, you're more than welcome. Just let me know and I'll go through the mechanics of the whole thing with you. No one's obligated to, of course, but if you'd like to give it a try, you're certainly welcome.

ETA: Please pass this on to everyone who doesn't have access to LiveJournal? Thanks!

Okay, just putting out feelers to see if anyone has ideas on what race/class they're thinking of playing? I know great_cthulhu was thinking about a Tiefling Warlock...anyone else have ideas?

11:03 am - Zombie's End

Hey guys, I'm fixing to wrap up the zombie game. In fact, we'll probably finish what I have planned within the first two hours of play on Sunday. This is a game we could perhaps come back to sometime - there are a lot of questions that probably won't be answered, but this is all I have planned for now.

I know we'd talked about some other possibilities for our next game, but I'd like to add another to the list: 4th edition D&D. I've been going over it a lot over the past month, and I'm really liking it. The first adventure I have planned is actually a pre-built module - mostly dungeon crawl with some urban antics thrown in. It's not what I'd call straight hack-and-slash, but it's got a heaping handful of action in it.

That's really the only game I'm wanting to run myself right now, so if we decide to go another way, I'm gonna need to be spelled at the wheel. I just don't have anything else prepared and am not really jazzed to run anything else.

7:54 am - Character Stuff for the new campaign

For those who Steve does not have an email for, he is asking for the following:

Approximate Age
Profession (if currently employed - for students, please list any part-time job they're holding as well as 'student')

He also says that "it would be a good idea to have a backup character concept waiting, and it wouldn't hurt to have a backup framework ready too."

Please contact him by phone/text/email or call or email me and I will pass the info along to Steve.

12:50 pm - Heads up

Not that I think anyone actually reads this regularly anymore, but I just wanted to give y'all as fair warning as I can give that I may be called away from the gathering this Sunday. We have...not so much an emergency as an unexpected and last-second priority project going on at work and things are still very much up in the air. I'm not scheduled to go in Sunday (but, rather, 0600 hours Monday morning...ugh) but I've let it be known I'll be nearby if things hit the fan.

7:02 pm - Down in the park with a friend called Five

Okay, the countdown to the SR4 game continues and I wanted to throw it out there that I picked up Augmentation and Arsenal (the cyberware and firearms supplements, respectively), so they'll be available for final character gen on Sunday. Also picked up the GM screen and a campaign book I may or may not use, but that's neither here nor there. If y'all do any character gen during the week and have any questions, feel free to call or shoot me an e-mail.

Also, as promised, I've come up with what I believe are the original SR2 'twenty questions.' As I mentioned Sunday I will by no means require any or all of these to be answered for your characters but I find them handy for working out a more detailed character concept. Enjoy!Collapse )

Hey everyone. Sorry about the last minute party cancellation last night. My lady and I are feeling mostly better and are up for games (and have lots of food and snacks available, including some Messy Fries from Brushfire BBQ).

Just wanted to let y'all know I'll be running a tad late this week, as matterntm isn't scheduled to get off work until 1700 hours. If all goes well I won't be much more than half an hour late.

Any questions, just give me a call :)

6:48 am - March 30

Okay, the audio from March 30 is up at constantgamer.com - it's pretty raw...I did an absolute minimum of editing. Seriously...setting up to edit six hours of audio is a daunting task and I just wasn't up to it.

Still, it's pretty awesome just the same. You can RSS it at the bottom of the page, download the files individually or just play it on the embedded player on the page.

See you all Sunday!

7:02 am - Atlantis and Shadowrun

I talked to great_cthulhu last night a bit about our forthcoming Stargate Atlantis and Shadowrun games, and we're of the opinion it might be better to:

  • Do Shadowrun before Stargate Atlantis - why? Because...

  • Play Atlantis with new characters

I like the idea of new characters for Atlantis because it's such a separate entity. SG-1 never went storming over to Atlantis to take care of business on the show, and I think SG-10 should follow suit. I'm quite attached to my SG-10 character, but I think playing Atlantis with new characters would make more sense. Running Stargate as two parallel campaigns just makes more sense to me.

That and our SG-10 characters are such monsters it'd be easier to create competition for newer (I'm thinking level 6) characters.

great_cthulhu has been hankerin' to play some Shadowrun for ages, and I'd kinda like to play Penn too. Putting a game or two between SG-10 and the new Atlantis game might help to separate current characters from new.

    What do you guys think?
